Glebe
Boyce Street
This home is the first house the family owned after settling down in the leafy inner west suburb of Glebe. It’s not a cookie cutter home, nor it is a picture perfect representation of the interiors from a fancy design magazine. It’s warm and comfortable, full of colour, travel mementos, family heirlooms and handmade artisan pieces. I loved bringing it all together and showcasing the furniture, decorative ceramics and Asian inspired accessories in a fun and cohesive way. I’ve added a sofa, occasional arm chairs, rugs and lighting pendants to existing decor scheme to make the house more liveable and functional. I’ve commissioned artworks that now take the place of pride in the sitting room and master bedroom.
The long and narrow hall was updated with colourful rugs and pendants, and slim timber shelves were custom made for the walls that couldn’t accommodate a wider console. And painting the house in a fresh neutral colour instantly lifted it up and added curb appeal. Now the entire family can enjoy their first family home being surrounded by pieces close to their hearts.
